Dear Dart 18 sailors,
Time is running fast and we are getting closer to our Dart 18 Worlds at Lake Garda. Here you find some more information that might be very interesting:
- You all know that high mountains surround the northern part of Lake Garda. The result is, space around the lake is very limited. We will have enough space for everybody, but it requests high discipline from every one of us. In the area of the club “Circolo Vela Torbole“ the boats come first, than the trailers and last the other vehicles. Please expect that not all cars of all the sailors can be parked at the club. Please prepare yourself for short walks or maybe take a bicycle. At least try car sharing with other sailors.
- In our Worlds program, three evening events are included. Monday night we will have the "Welcome Dinner", Wednesday we will go for an „Italian Dinner“ and at the end the „Price Giving“. These events are included for all the sailors. Of course, your friends and family can join us at any time. But for the "Welcome Dinner" we need a fix reservation of all “non sailors” at least 10 days in advance of the Worlds. The easiest way to place a reservation, just transfer 10,00 € for every additional person, to the account below. Same account like for the enrolment fee.

The subject of the deposit should say "Welcome Dinner" and your enrolled sail number. The event must be prepared and organised. It is not possible to place reservations on side or at the dinner! - Arrival: The Club area will be ready for us at Sunday August 26th. It’s “high season” at Lake Garda. Please expect the club area being very busy with other sailors and surfers. Do not expect space or entrance before Sunday the 26th. - Important - Insurance: Everyone needs to show a valid insurance paper, in original, at the enrolment. We will copy it on side and keep for the World in your file. No boat without a proof of insurance will get start permission! - We are getting a lot of mails about boat or crew changes, but we are not able to enter all these changes into the database. Please name all these changes and check all our data when you sign in at the Club. Only one Exception: If somebody new (not on the list), want’s to take over the place of somebody who is already on the list. This needs to be cleared and released from us.
